Terms of service
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms apply to merchants who install Mint FAQ Page ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
The service
The app shows your frequently asked questions on an FAQ page served through Shopify's app proxy (/apps/faq), in a theme app block on any page and, on Pro, in a product FAQ block. It offers categories, search, translations and CSV import/export; Pro adds more FAQ pages and questions, product FAQs, an anonymous search report and styles. The app never changes your products or theme files. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.
Billing
Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify on your regular invoice in USD after the free trial. You can change or cancel your plan at any time on that page (a downgrade to Free takes effect at the end of the billing cycle you already paid for) or by uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content of your questions and answers (for example that shipping and returns answers match your store policies), for the accuracy of your translations, and for checking how the FAQ looks in your theme before publishing it.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available and secure, but it is provided "as is". The FAQ blocks are rendered by your theme from data stored in your store, so they keep working while our service is unavailable (the /apps/faq page and the search report need it). To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.
Data processing addendum
The app is designed not to process personal data of your customers: it stores your FAQ, settings and store details, and on Pro anonymous daily search counts from which searches that look like personal data are removed before storage. If any personal data is processed on your behalf (for example personal data you type into an answer), you are the controller and we are the processor, and we will:
- process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
- delete everything we hold for your store on Shopify's shop-redaction request (48 hours after uninstall), and at the latest 30 days after uninstall;
- never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
- keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
- encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
- use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
- help you respond to data subject requests and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.
Changes
We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
